A dog exploring Regina

The dog-friendly guide to

Regina

Connected pathways, a remarkable lake walk and one very thoughtful welcome.

Field notes August 2026

A practical dog-friendly guide to the Regina places where we stayed, walked and ate.

We stayed in west Regina near Les Sherman Park, where the pathway network made the location much more convenient than it first appeared.

A full day on foot took us along the water, around Wascana Lake, past the Legislative Building and into town for a shaded patio meal with Tilly.

Cross-city walkThe pathway connected our west Regina stay with Wascana Centre and downtown.
Wascana wildlifeThe lake loop came with more geese than either of us had seen in one place.
Shaded patioLeopold's gave Tilly a comfortable place to rest during our long walking day.
