Visited with Tilly Attraction field notes
Fredericton Botanic Garden
A free public garden beside Odell Park, with colourful plantings and connected woodland trails that made a lovely leashed hike with Tilly.

The short version
We finally visited the Fredericton Botanic Garden in July 2026 after fire-risk closures kept us out the previous summer. The landscaped paths were green and colourful, and leashed Tilly could explore them with us.
The garden occupies 21 hectares at the west end of Odell Park and contains almost 20 individual gardens. Its paths connect directly with Odell Park, so our visit naturally became a longer hike through the shaded woodland trails.
The garden is free and officially open from dawn to dusk throughout the year. Conditions and temporary closures can change, so check the official site before travelling.
We visited with Tilly on leash. The garden welcomes leashed dogs; check the official site for current access information and temporary closures.
