Clifford Brewing feels like a neighbourhood local even on your first visit. The red-brick taproom sits in Hamilton's east end, with long tables, a broad beer list and regular food pop-ups.

Dogs are best accommodated on the patio. There is enough room to settle under a table without blocking the aisle, and staff have always made us feel welcome. Pair the visit with a walk at nearby Gage Park.
