Our practical Yarmouth notes: walking the foggy Cape Forchu grounds with Tilly and her first toes in the Atlantic Ocean.
Yarmouth anchors the southwest tip of Nova Scotia, and the Cape Forchu Lighthouse just outside town was our main stop on the foggy lighthouse route.
The lighthouse itself was not dog friendly, but the rocky grounds were a great area to walk around with Tilly, and it was her first chance to dip her toes in the Atlantic, having dipped them in the Pacific the previous year.
Cape Forchu walksThe rocky grounds were a great dog-friendly area to explore, fog or not.
First Atlantic toesTilly dipped her toes in the Atlantic after the Pacific the year before.
Humans-only towerThe lighthouse building is not dog friendly, but there is an outdoor patio.
