Our practical notes for the Fundy Tidal Interpretive Centre in Maitland, a random roadside find with a dog-friendly trail to the tidal river.
Maitland is a small village on the Shubenacadie River, the river where the Bay of Fundy tidal bores form, and we found its tidal interpretive centre completely by chance on the drive to Digby.
The centre itself was not dog friendly, but the trail to the viewing area was, and it looks out over the muddy river and the old Dominion Atlantic Railway cars rusting beside the water.
